creating and keeping your website fresh
Many people seem to produce a wonderful website put it onto the web and then think that is it, Google will pick that up and I will be number one. If only life was that simple.
A lot has been written about quick fixes to get you up the listings for a fee " forget it", the only way for your website to be recognised is through sheer hard work.
Update every day, get yourself listed on as many search engines as possible, add new content that is relevent to the website and make sure that your keywords appear on every page if possible.
I am a safety consultant so each page would include many of the tasks that others would search for, Display screen equipment for example, add what you do and include some detail,and then include the regulations in my case, this way the search engine will find a description of the website on the home page "safety consultancy" and then find relevent detail Display screen equipment assessments (this is one of the things that we do) required under the Health and Safety (display screen equipment)regulations 1992 so on this page alone we have five items for the search engine to find, do this every day and voila. |
